Hidden Jack Casino

Hidden Jack Casino Review

Every now and then, I come across a real gem while playing at offshore casinos where placing wagers is quick and hassle-free. Hidden Jack Casino turned out to be one of those places. I was impressed from the moment I logged in; the site looked professional, well designed, and clearly built with care.

One thing, though, the online casino itself operates under a Costa Rica licence.

And yes, as soon as you hear Costa Rica, you need to be a little cautious. Fortunately, I was willing to take one for the team and sign up. I'll let you know in this Hidden Jack Casino review whether it is safe to play here or not. And more importantly, whether it is worth signing up!

Hidden Jack Casino Welcome Bonus

The best part of opening a new casino account is usually the welcome bonus waiting for you. And believe me, that bonus is certainly welcome! So I definitely wanted this, so I checked the bonus box while signing up. Oh, and registering was quick and easy by the way, something the regulated markets could certainly learn from.

What is the welcome pack all about? Hidden Jack Casino provides a huge welcome pack of up to €5,000 in bonus cash and 500 free spins split across your first five deposits. The minimum deposit is €20, and a 35x wagering requirement applies to all bonus funds. I'll take you through the process step by step as it really does pay to understand exactly what you are in for.

On your first deposit, you receive a 100% matched bonus of up to €1,000. That means your deposit is doubled, up to a maximum bonus of €1,000. Plus, you get 100 free spins on Bonanza Trillion by BGaming. This is spread out across four days with 25 free spins given each day, and I think that's a good idea because it encourages players to come back for four days in a row.

Your second deposit earns you a 50% bonus up to €1,000, and an additional 100 free spins. Once again, these free spins are for Elvis Frog in Vegas, from BGaming. Same release plan of 25 per day for four days.

It is a pretty nice second-deposit offer.

Most places fall flat after the first one, but Hidden Jack keeps up the pace.

The third deposit gets more intriguing. 75% up to €1,000 and a hundred free spins on Snoop Dogg Dollars (another BGaming). The spins are given as fifty per day for two days. I was a little surprised to see the higher percentage here. Typically multi-deposit bonuses fall away sharply but a 75% bonus on the third deposit is not unreasonable.

Fourth deposit gives 50% bonus up to €1,000 plus 100 free spins on Grand Mustang by BGaming. The spins are spread over two days, with 50 spins released each day. Still good. Still worth depositing for.

And your fifth deposit completes the package with another 100% up to €1,000 plus 100 free spins on Aloha King Elvis (BGaming). That's 50 spins per day for two days. Returning to 100% on the fifth deposit seems planned. It feels like a thank-you for remaining loyal.

So altogether, if you hit the maximum deposit value for every deposit, that's €5,000 bonus cash and 500 free spins spread out over five deposits. Now that is a huge welcome package by any standards.

Just remember this bonus cash isn't yours to cash out yet. You have to wager it. Like all online gambling sites, it takes a bit of time.

This time, the wagering requirement is 35x, so you have to bet that much on the bonus money thirty-five times before cashing out.

I would start working through the wagering requirement as soon as each bonus is credited. Don't just leave it there. The playthrough applies to slots, and you can only bet €5 per spin while clearing the bonus. That's not an unreasonable limit.

Ongoing Bonuses

There are certain times during the week when you need a little boost to get through the day. Like Monday mornings. I always need a little something to kick me into gear.

At Hidden Jack Casino, however, you can actually start off your week with something good.

If you make your deposit on a Monday, you can receive up to 100 free spins. Not a bad way to get yourself started for the week, if you ask me.

Thursdays also have their own little perk. Get a 50% reload bonus plus 100 spins. Just don't forget all bonuses have the same rollover requirements so if you decide to take advantage of it you will have to work for it. There's no free ride.

Perhaps you're thinking right now, these bonuses are nice but not if I have to go through wagering requirements forever. Fair enough. If that's the case, you can choose to go with the weekly cashback bonus instead of a reload.

You get 15% of your net losses back every Monday.

The only requirement is that you made a real-money deposit during the week and ended the week with net losses.

No problem, right?

Here's what makes the cashback appealing. The money you receive is technically bonus funds initially.

But the catch?

There are essentially no harsh playthrough conditions.

You only need to turn over the cashback value 3x on slots before it's actual withdrawable cash. Believe me, that's a walk in the park. You can turn over 3x in one sitting without breaking into a sweat. I personally think I prefer this to a welcome bonus that you need to turn over 35x.

That just feels like work.

If you are depositing significant amounts regularly and are not interested in the normal welcome bonus then Hidden Jack also has VIP bonuses. These are proper high-roller bonuses. You can use these up to a maximum of two times, but only with a minimum deposit of €200.

The VIP bonus will double your deposit up to a maximum of €1,000 and the casino also includes 100 free spins with the offer.

You will need to put in a bonus code (VIP1) in order to receive the bonus while depositing. Please note that this bonus amount also needs to be played through before cashing out. Nobody rides free, even the big spenders.

Game Selection

So, let's discuss the choice of games.

Let me be honest here. I don't really play here for the bonuses. Play for the games.

I want to know if there is anything here worth playing, or should I just go elsewhere.

The good news is that Hidden Jack has a pretty good selection of games, and there is more on the way. They are not just sitting on their hands.

The game selection consists of casino games from:

Microgaming

Yggdrasil

Red Tiger Gaming

Thunderkick

Push Gaming

Nolimit City

Hacksaw Gaming

Relax Gaming

iSoftBet

Blueprint Gaming

Big Time Gaming

Wazdan

Peter & Sons

Kalamba Games

In addition to these names, I also encountered a good number of providers that I hadn't come across previously. Call them filler. On the other hand, it's also always exciting to find out about some new games that you won't find at your regular casino.

The games are nicely arranged (credit where credit's due) and I have definitely seen much more massive libraries elsewhere which are a nightmare to navigate through. At Hidden Jack, there is the option to choose by software provider or by game type from the menu, which is exactly how all large casino libraries should be displayed. Unfortunately, even some of the larger sites just haven't caught on.

A Massive Selection of Slots

This is fairly standard among online casinos these days, but it is an impressive slot library. It features the popular titles that most gamers will be familiar with immediately, and it has no shortage of really good ones like the games from the Nolimit City and Hacksaw Gaming providers, both of which are known for their high-variance action. There are also many less popular titles from smaller developers, which brings some additional variety. Total slots number over 7,980 slots.

I have to say that I actually enjoy testing some of the more basic slots from developers I have not played before. It makes the game a bit fresher. Not to mention that the slot market is growing on a monthly basis and you keep seeing the same names everywhere. So it's kind of refreshing to see a few new titles.

One minor disappointment I had, however, was that the menu had a huge “Jackpots” section. Obviously I was eager to try it out. When I went into it, there were no jackpots!

Nothing.

Not a jackpot machine there. That's a bit of a letdown. But hey, maybe they'll add some in the future. The rest of the library is strong enough to look past it for now.

Table Games

I didn't see a dedicated ‘Table Games’ section in the main lobby. Instead, they've just separated everything out into specific categories. So roulette has its own lobby, blackjack has its own lobby, etc.

The categories I saw were mostly live casino titles of those respective games.

I like having the standard, non-live versions of the table games available. Sometimes you just want to sit down and play a quick hand of blackjack without all of the other distractions of the live casino element. Again, up to the operator, and here it works reasonably well once you get familiar with it.

A Live Casino Is Easily Accessible

Navigate to “Live Casino” from the menu and you get a summary of all the live games you can find here. It's all there, neatly laid out, no need to search for them. This live casino doesn't just list games from one provider either, so it can keep the players entertained for a bit longer.

Currently, its live games are provided by Pragmatic Play Live, Ezugi and Vivo Gaming.

Virtually all are table games, as you would expect.

Across these providers, different tables have different betting limits, have various dealers and feature different variations on the classics. There are almost 500 live games at the moment. A respectable number, so you'll be able to find an enjoyable game for some time.

Hidden Jack Mobile Casino

Mobile players haven't been left out at Hidden Jack Casino. They've created a mobile-friendly version of their site that works smoothly on iPhone, Android, and other smartphones.

That's two ways to load up the casino from your phone and start playing, which I think is a real plus.

When I am playing regularly at a casino, I want the same experience on my phone with no feeling that I'm playing in a compromised or broken environment. Opening an app makes that much more convenient. My experience on the mobile platform has been great. The slots always load within just a few seconds, the live roulette tables stream without any interruption or lag, and deposits/withdrawals are handled simply from the mobile browser/app itself.

You can register from your device, claim the welcome bonus, and later switch seamlessly between desktop and mobile with the same account.

Is Hidden Jack Casino Trustworthy?

I totally understand if you're a little wary. It's a Costa Rican site after all. I would be too.

But I can assure you in this Hidden Jack Casino review that everything is perfectly fine here.

You are not going to get the same level of player protection that a UK licence offers. It's simply not the regulatory framework. However, not all Costa Rica-licensed casinos are unreliable, and based on my experience, Hidden Jack appears to be one of the better examples.

I've never had any trouble with this site.

When I wanted to withdraw my funds it always came through without any trouble, and that really is all I can ask for.

Payment Methods

As tempting as bonuses are, you'll need to fund your account before the fun begins. Depositing at offshore casinos can sometimes be a hassle; but not at Hidden Jack Casino.

There are various options available.

The casino also takes Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard, bank transfer and pretty much any kind of coin you could care to throw at them. Yep, they're also a crypto casino. Something we're seeing more and more of with offshore operators these days.

Minimum deposit is based on your payment method selection. Minimum is generally about €20, maximum varies from €3,000 to €4,000 or so.

Payment methods overview:

Bitcoin

Mastercard

Neteller

Paysafecard

Skrill

Visa

Naturally, you may eventually want to withdraw your funds. How quickly you can do this will depend on the method you select. For example, opting for a crypto payout may result in your funds being transferred to your wallet on the same day.

Opting for a bank transfer?

Your funds could be held up for 5 business days! Something to consider.

The minimum withdrawal is €40, which is worth noting. If you decide to withdraw via bank transfer you could incur some additional charges. And as with many of today's casinos, Hidden Jack has withdrawal limits.

This trend shows no sign of slowing down.

At this point, I was not surprised. The maximum withdrawal limits are €3,000 daily, €10,000 weekly and €15,000 per month. That is worth remembering if you hit a big win.

Yeah, I did notice one odd thing about crypto withdrawals. It seemed like the limits were much higher when withdrawing in crypto. When I converted it to euros I was able to withdraw more in each go than if I had used traditional withdrawal methods. I'm unsure whether this is an error or not, but it is worth bearing in mind if you're looking to gamble in crypto.

Customer Service

If you run into any issues with verification, bonuses, or withdrawals, Hidden Jack's customer service is your first stop. During my test, the live chat had an average response time of less than 3 minutes for a first reply.

It also provides 24/7 support.

Hidden Jack Casino doesn't provide a hotline number. So inquiries are handled via email to [email protected]. I received a reply within 24 hours during my test.

I found the answers to our standard questions about bonuses, limits, and payment methods very concise and correct. For the more complicated KYC and withdrawal cases it sometimes took several messages to complete all questions. I can answer many of the most common questions about Hidden Jack Casino further down in our FAQ, which probably saves a visit to support.

My advice from testing: Clarify your verification and bonus status in the chat before your first withdrawal; this will noticeably speed up the withdrawal process later on.

Final Verdict on Hidden Jack Casino

Hidden Jack is a decent site, particularly if you're fed up of the mainstream, highly regulated stuff. They've gone a long way to build up a huge slots collection with obscure titles that you won't find at most other casinos, which means browsing the games section is entertaining rather than dull.

The €5,000 + 500 free spins sign-up deal across 5 deposits is generous by standard measures, as is the 35x wagering requirement, not the lowest I've seen, but far from the worst around.

Overall, Hidden Jack is one I'd suggest giving a try if variety, decent bonuses and an offshore casino that can process withdrawals properly appeal.

Hidden Jack Casino Sister Sites

If you like the Hidden Jack Casino experience, you'll probably enjoy the other casinos in the family too. The sister sites operate on the same platform with the same games, pretty similar sign-up bonuses and the same methods for making deposits. Might be worth a look if you want the same experience, but in a different disguise.
